Attic Finish With Full Bathroom

“A Spacious Bedroom / Office Suite”

Project Details

Having an unfinished attic can be used for so many purposes. Finishing an attic space not only adds to the living space but also when done right, added home value.

Our client in Apex, NC wanted to make a 3^rd floor finished attic into a livable space with a full bathroom.

The total area of this remodel was 465 sq ft. This project included finish carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades. To complete this beautiful attic project we worked with the City of Apex for permitting and inspections.

Full Bathroom Addition

This bathroom addition which was once an HVAC area now includes a large walk-in shower with a glass door enclosure, vinyl plank flooring, vanity, recessed lighting, and recessed in-wall storage cubby.

Plumbing had to be run all the way down to the main sewer line in the crawl space.

The paint color selected was Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams. This large bathroom addition has great recessed lighting and feels spacious.

Satin nickel finish hardware and fixtures make a timeless look. A great feature is the dual shower head with a handheld feature for easy cleaning.

Now this space is a beautiful bathroom that guests are sure to love.

Stairwell Updates and Improvements

Removing the knee wall and adding oak handrails with white spindles really opened up the space.

This allowed more light on the stairway for a safer climb and added detail to the room.

Open Bedroom / Office Area

This room is a great size for a bedroom or private office, with plenty of space to add a cozy sitting area. The neutral paint selected for this area and the stairwell was Valspar Tempered Gray.

A double-door closet was framed and finished. An additional recessed storage wall cubby was made. This room also includes an additional storage closet.

This room has a split HVAC wall system for heating and cooling this room efficiently. And finally, recessed lights and a ceiling fan were installed.
