1 Bedroom Apartment Unit Upgrade

Time For An Update
Located in Raleigh near NC State, this once out-of-date unit is now bright and modern, fully updated for today’s living. Now this 1 bedroom, 1bath apartment of 748 sqft, is complete with new cabinets, lighting, appliances, light fixtures and more. Here’s how we did it.
Dramatic Changes
The biggest area of focus for updates on this project was the kitchen. When budgeting your remodeling project, the bulk should go to your kitchen for the best return on your investment.
First, we removed all the outdated kitchen cabinets and replaced them with timeless white shaker style cabinets. The hardware was updated with 6” satin nickel door/drawer pull handles.
Electrical and Appliance Upgrades
Electrical upgrades were needed for the proper installation of the new appliances. After removing the old 30” range hood, twelve feet of wire was run from the kitchen to the panel. A new breaker and outlet were added for the new over the range microwave. All-new beautiful stainless steel/black appliances were installed.
Luxurious Elements
A timeless look for any kitchen is adding granite backsplash and countertops. This 100% natural stone adds so much appeal in the way it compliments all the elements in this kitchen. This stone is extremely durable, heat resistant and will last a lifetime. Removing old laminate that stains, scratches, and can wrap over time is always smart decision.
Modern Touches
Throughout this unit, we replaced all light fixtures for modern ones. All the old flat interior door slabs were replaced with modern 6-panel doors. Finally, outdated gold doorknob handles were replaced for modern satin nickel door levers.
